New Beds and Rooms - Part 3

This weekend was the first time the kids have been in spearate rooms. Little Man's room was finally finished and he moved in. We're rapidly trying to finish the beds for the girls. They are still sleeping on new mattresses on the floor. Photos will be posted soon.

New Beds and Rooms - Part 2

This is a slow process. We're almost finished with the bunk beds for the girls. Their room has been painted, but not all the furniture is in place and the decorations aren't up yet.

We've just started painting Little Man's room. It was sad when we were taking the cribs/toddler beds apart.

New Beds and Rooms

We are working on getting the kids in different rooms. Little Man will stay in the same room. Squeaky and Blondie will be moving to a new room. They'll have bunk beds that we'll initially use as separate twin beds. Little Man will be getting a new bed too. We're working on painting the bunk beds now. Then it will be time to paint the bedrooms and get them decorated. It should be an interesting time of "musical bedrooms" while we move everyone and everything around.

Yo Gabba Gabba

While we were at the beach, we ran across the show Yo Gabba Gabba on Nick Jr. The kids love it. We couldn't think of seeing a show like this before. The characters do silly, simple songs about keeping your hands to yourself and eating different foods. Silly, simple and teaches good lessons? You can't go wrong with a show like that.

Making Up Lyrics

We were playing an audiobook for the kids. It's a story for kids about a brother and sister that travel through time and visit historical events. At the end of the CD, there's a song sung by the brother and sister. The song is titled "What would I do without you?". Near the end of the song, they start singing things like "I'm the sock, you're the foot. I'm the pancake, you're the syrup". The kids started making up their own version of the lyrics. Things like "I'm the ocean, you're the waves". Little Man came up with the best new lyrics - "You're the boogers, I'm the nose".

Milk

This morning, Blondie was telling us where she thinks milk comes from. She said you put a cup under a cow's leg, press a button and the milk comes out. Seems like we need to take a trip to a farm.
